"America is, in fact, exceptionally bad when it comes to any of a whole host of measures, such as health, longevity, economic equality, crime, pollution, etc. Over there in Sweden, on the other hand, the application of socialist ideas has turned out slightly differently than what those nice conservatives in America would have you believe. The "disaster" of European socialism has led Europeans, especially Swedes, to kick America's ass on basically any measure of quality of life one can imagine.
Well, I may not need help like the guy in this photo but I sure wouldn't turn it down either. Racing day is what I call this morning. Hardly enough time to drink me coffee, read the paper, and hit the road. Most of my early morning appointments are over on the beach, about 20 minutes from here. Soooo I better get going. If you see this guy taking your picture as you get to work today, just smile. He won't really know who you are smiling at, but smile anyway.
This that you see is me,
no more, no less.
A piece of Being ...
a portion of humanity ...
a fistful of laughter ... a pile of dreams.
A share of craziness ...
a bit of sweetness
with all my sincerity.
This that you see, is me,
no more, no less.
A woman, sometimes a child,
sometimes space ...
sometimes infinity ...
sometimes passion ...
sometimes freedom.
But like this, I am simply like this.
It's all I have,
all I am ... It isn't much ... but it's all. Teresa Aburto Uribe -- Chile
I can tell, Betty isn't sure what she wants to do this weekend. Well she probably doesn't have all three grandchildren visiting her. Especially the age groups 11, 5, and 15 months. Of course the baby always gets most of the attention. I remember when I did. Well, I think Betty should change into some weekend clothes; start cleaning up the house for any guests that may drop by; look glamorous so it makes her feel good; and check out the jogging trails, maybe get out the bike and go biking. Whatever she decides, you too, make it a heart healthy weekend.
