The English Got it Right

There is an old Hotel/Pub in Marble Arch, London , which used to have a gallows adjacent to it. Prisoners were taken to the gallows (after a fair trial of course) to be hung.
The horse-drawn dray, carting the prisoner, was accompanied by an armed guard, who would stop the dray outside the pub and ask the prisoner if he would like ''ONE LAST DRINK''.
If he said YES, it was referred to as ONE FOR THE ROAD.
If he declined, that prisoner was ON THE WAGON.

TGIF

Looks like it could turn out to be a lazy long weekend remembering those who gave their lives on the battlefield for our freedoms.  Reading a good book, having a picnic with the family is fine.  But don't forget the men and women who served in uniform. Have a great and safe weekend.

DUCKY

Well It's Off to Work We Go!

Only I won't be riding a bike to work.  Actually I have to drive over to the Orlando office today so most of my time will be on the road.  I hope the biker above won't be late for her wedding or work or both.  You make it a great week and yes, biking is great heart healthy exercise.

Finally, Feral Family Shows Up

Kalarcita (left) and her kitties

Mr No Name

Her furs are actually dark brown
Kalarcita is the daughter of the Porch Kitty and these two showed up this morning for the first time for breakfast.  We took these photos through the guest bedroom window.  If you would like to donate a little something for when it's time to neuter them, plus the cost of extra food for two more kitties go to http://www.zoolatry.blogspot.com/ and see the pay pal button in the upper left side of the blog.  And thanks so much.!!
