I'm Thinking Climb Every Mountain but Well ..... OK

True Fact for Me

WELL . . HE WON'T BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Shoppers on "Black Friday" who were obviously not protesting corporate greed in this country walked over a 61 year-old man who collapsed on the floor while consumers were vying for Target crap for Christmas. He died later at a local hospital. It happened in a box store in South Charleston, West Virginia. These bargain crazed morons couldn't even stop for a second to see if he was OK or needed medical attention. Merry Christmas.

Getting Ready for Kat Ryan

Wait till she loads the bird feeder!

It's Off to Work We Go!

But school work?  Well I'm a tad beyond those days but yes most schools are returning to the little red schoolhouse today having spent a wonderful break for Thanksgiving.  It's good to know they still have a public school to go to here in Florida and in other States.  No school for me today, just a planning session all day for next year.  This will be the first general election year where that good old piece of paper the Supreme Court ruled human will be allowed to flood the hopefuls for President a gazillion dollars, biggest ever.  It should be fun to watch the 1% spend all their loot on Mitty.  Well I won't be doing that myself, but it will be an interesting political year.  Can't wait to usher in 2012.  Have a great week and get some Christmas shopping done.  And get that heart healthy exercise wherever you are.

Yes! Good idea

Sunday Morning

It is always the false that makes you suffer,
the false desires and fears,
the false values and ideas,
the false relationships between people.
Abandon the false and you are free of pain;
truth makes happy, truth liberates.

Gotta Be a UC Davis Student

TGIF

Looks like our TGIF model is suggesting we need to tend to things that need fixing this weekend.  I'm too stuffed to pick up a hammer regardless.  But I might look into cleaning the garage.  Then I can have my weekend free.  Whatever your plans, make sure everything works, and get that heart healthy exercise throughout the weekend.

WARREN BUFFET HAS THE RIGHT IDEA . . .

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best
quotes about the debt ceiling:

"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law
that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all
sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election. The 26th
amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months
& 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in
1971...before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to
the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the
land...all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of
twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do
likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the
message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.

*Congressional Reform Act of 2011*

1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office
and receives no pay when they are out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All
funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security
system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system,
and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for
any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans
do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay
will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the
same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American
people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective
1/1/12.
